Hello and welcome to our auction. Here we have a vintage model train engine. This one has no makers name or marking on it anywhere. I'm not even sure of the age of it but it looks like it would date back to the 1970's or so. It comes in a wooden box which is possible the original box or it could have just been made for it. The train is made of metal and has a propeller on the front which I found quite odd. I'm not an expert in model trains but I haven't seen one like this before. It also seems to be in HO guage as far as I can tell. The engine measures approximately 6 1/2" (16.5cm) in length. This piece was bought at an estate sale in England and then shipped out here with a British couple who were emigrating to Australia. They have had it sitting in a cupboard for years and it has not been played with as such. It still displays very well though and would make a fantastic addition to a collection. I have no doubt the winning bidder will be very happy.
